God loves to speak with us and prayer is one of the most important ways that happens. The Bible makes clear that what God most desires from us is to have a personal relationship with him – and we think it’s pretty hard to have a relationship with someone you never speak to!
Whenever we pray, it is a precious opportunity to encounter our amazing God, share what’s on our hearts and minds with Him, and listen for what He wants to say to us. While we encourage all members of The King’s Church Chesham to pray individually as part of their daily lives, we also believe it is vital for us to share in times of prayer, so that we can speak to and hear God communally.
Each month we have a number of opportunities to gather and pray together, everyone is welcome to join us!
Thursday Evening Prayer & Worship
The amazing thing about prayer is that it really does change thing, prayer is powerful. God loves us so much that He wants to hear our troubles, hopes, dreams and requests. That doesn’t mean we always get what we want, but we are always invited and encouraged to share everything in our lives with Him.
On Thursday evenings we get together and do just that. Sometimes we spend time bringing our requests to God, asking Him to be with those members of our community who are facing challenges. The one thing we always do is encounter God, listen for his voice and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our thoughts and prayers to where they need to be.
When: Thursday Evening – 7:30pm until 9pm

Prophetic Encouragement Sessions
But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort.
1 Corinthians 14:3
We all need strengthening, encouraging and comfort. Our prophetic encouragement sessions aim to do just that; helping you to draw closer to God through the Holy Spirit. The sessions are not intended to be directional, but focus upon building up, cheering up and filling up our hearts and minds with the truth of what God wants to speak over us.
When: Sessions are held every third Sunday of the month, before our regular morning service.
