Children

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

Matthew 19:14

Jesus could not have been any clearer about the fact that we’re never too young to start getting to know him. At the King’s Church Chesham we are passionate about providing a safe and supportive environment where children can learn and grow together – as well as having lots of fun. All our groups provide an opportunity for children to enjoy themselves, build friendships and learn a bit more about the incredible love and character of God.

No matter how big or small, children are always welcome to join and be a part of our services, and we hope they will feel right at home.
On Sunday mornings we love having the children in with us for the sung worship, before our brilliant teams lead a number of sessions just for them.
Below you’ll find a few more details about what our different groups look like and who they are for.

Seedlings (Ages 2-4)

Seedlings offers a safe and nurturing environment for children in their early years. Their time together will include having fun playing with toys and playdough, listening to short Bible stories, craft activities and singing! It provides just the place for little ones to enjoy making friends and begin learning how much God loves them.

Seedlings takes place every Sunday Morning during the service, though it does not always run during the School Holidays.

Discover (Primary)

The Discover Group gathers children in Primary School Years (Reception – Year 6) for an entertaining morning of activities and yes, discovery. Children will learn more about Jesus through teaching, craft, and games as they explore faith and begin encountering God for themselves. We promise their time together will never be boring!

Usually lively and packed with excitement, it’s also a great place to make new friends with those their own age, and find out how we can be kind to and care for one another.

Discover takes place every Sunday Morning during the service, though it does not always run during the School Holidays.

Safeguarding

The King’s Church Chesham is committed to keeping all children safe. This includes ensuring that all those working alongside children are safeguarding trained and undergo Disclosure and Barring Services checks. We are also members of Thirtyone:eight a charity offering safeguarding advice and resources.
