Prayer Matters
God loves to speak with us. As Christians, we believe that Jesus has made it possible for us to have a real and active relationship with God – and it’s pretty hard to have a relationship with someone you never speak to. The Bible invites us to bring our thoughts, feelings and circumstances before God and to listen for His voice of comfort, instruction and guidance.
On this page you’ll find links to prayer resources, ways that you can request prayer, and details of when and where we’re meeting to pray together so that you can come along and take part. If you’re here looking for something specific, use the links opposite to jump straight to the section you’d like.
Prayer Resources
Whether you’re wondering how to start praying, or want to go deeper in your existing prayer life, we’ve done our best to assemble a few resources. From Sunday Messages, to shorter devotional videos and testimonies of what prayer can do – we hope these will help you understand, pursue and enjoy prayer more.
Request Prayer
We don’t just pray for ourselves. We believe that prayer changes things, and there are times when we all need other people to rally round and pray on our behalf. By praying we offer encouragement and demonstrate God’s love while asking him to intervene in someone’s situation. At the King’s Church we offer several different ways for you to request prayer – whether you’re a member here, or just looking for some help. From specific in-person appointments to anonymous requests, the forms below enable anyone and everyone to ask for the kind of prayer they need.
Join us in prayer!
Whenever we pray, it is a precious opportunity to encounter our amazing God, share what’s on our hearts and minds with Him, and listen for what He wants to say to us. While we encourage all members of The King’s Church Chesham to pray individually as part of their daily lives, we also believe it is vital for us to share in times of prayer together, so that we can speak to and hear God as a community.
From regular weekly gatherings to one-off moments of prayer and worship, there are plenty of opportunities to join us as we pray together at TKCC.
