Gateways – More than a Building

‘To be a gateway into the family of God by being a loving community where all can find the transforming power of life in relationship with God, by sharing God’s love with others and pointing the way to salvation in Jesus Christ.’

Our Mission

It’s hard to imagine in this day and age, but gateways were once one of the most important places in any town or city. Not just a means of protecting themselves against those who meant those within harm, but also as a bustling hub of activity, a meeting place where people could find rest during their journey and come in to join the community inside.

Whether you’re with us for a few hours, days, months, or years, we want the King’s Church Chesham to be a gateway for you.

If you’re looking for a safe place to shelter from life’s troubles and storms, we hope groups like the Community Fridge, Kintsugi Hope and our Stoma Support Group can provide some relief.

If you need a friendly community to call your own, then our gates are open, come inside and join us. We gather as a whole Church on Sunday Mornings, with a Wednesday Coffee Morning, Home Groups and activities like Sew Do It providing great opportunities for you to feel right at home

But the most important gateway of all is found through Jesus himself, who says:

“I am the Gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out and find pasture.”

John chapter 10, verse 9

Jesus is the ultimate source of security and protection, the perfect, loving friend and the one and only Gateway through which we can enter a relationship with God and become part of his family. Everything we do at the King’s Church Chesham is just a way of sharing the love we have found, so that you can get a glimpse and step through Greatest Gateway for yourself.

If you’re interested in finding out more about Jesus, why not come along and visit us, or get in touch to find out more.

Nothing Can Separate
