We welcome you to come along on a Sunday morning to our service. There is no dress code and the atmosphere is warm and easy. We begin at 10.30 with refreshments and a chance to meet people and relax before the service begins at 11am.
The service itself begins with half an hour of worship led in a contemporary style, with a high level of energy and movement, but also including more reflective moments. Later in the service there will be teaching based on a Bible passage, and often an opportunity to respond if desired, while the service finishes with more worship. We aim to finish by 12.30.
During term time there are usually children’s ministry and teen activities, which begin about 20 minutes into the service (leaders will accompany children to and from their groups). During school holidays there will often be All-In services which are high energy, inclusive meetings for all ages, though these are shorter and more interactive than the regular services.
We do take an offering during services, but visitors are not expected to contribute, as the church is supported and sustained by those who have chosen to make The King’s Church Chesham their spiritual home.
Children & Teens
We want it to be the BEST hour of the week for children & young adults. We explore faith and life in creative & fun ways, and within the context of Grace, Growth, Group, Gifts, and Good Stewardship.
- STEP & TREK For children age 5 to 11 years. Learning about God, caring for one another, and fun! We look at bits from the Bible together and discover further. We watch video clips, play games, dance, sing, do crafts and have lots more fun.
- Inspire meets on Sunday mornings – ages 12 to 16 years. This is a relaxed and welcoming environment for young people in our church (and our lovely visitors!), where they explore how the love of God transforms their lives, and those of the people they do life with.
The King’s Church Chesham is committed to safeguarding and Disclosure & Barring Service practices as per Thirtyone:eight (previously Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service)
We have a Breakout area next to the main reception. This is a family-friendly area available at any point during the service which provides space for babies/toddlers to play freely while mums, dads & carers enjoy the service via a live feed. Baby changing facilities are available in the disabled toilet adjacent to this area. Kindly note the Breakout Area is not available during All-In services.
