As a church, we have an obligation to work to a safeguarding policy. This is for reasons that are both good and necessary, and we do this under the guidance of the Churches’ Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS).
As part of that, anyone who is included in the children’s/youth teams, needs to attend annual safeguarding courses/workshops.
It is vital that we are up to date with changes, and that we are all aware of what our safeguarding policy actually is, why it is important, and what that means for us in practical terms.
Safeguarding training for vulnerable adults is conducted within the Connexions forum. Please speak to Sally Gorton for more details.
Our appointed Safeguarding Co-ordinators are Sally Gorton and Peter Reynolds.
